Switch Performance

The installed Gateron 3.0 low profile switches have the same pin position as high-profile ones... Thankfully, swapping switches is as effortless as expected.
Typing Comfort
Wow, it's heavy, it feels good... The wrist rest also feels quite premium, quite good... Feels good.
Design and Appearance The real star of the show is its phenomenal Retro Gaming design with a semi-transparent case reminiscent of the late 99s and the perfectly chosen color scheme... The authentic retro print on the back, which shows some kind of jump and run scene, is the cherry on top, making it a stunning piece that feels premium in every corner.
Connectivity & Customization Features
NuPhy IO lets you completely reinvent the Kick75 from reprogramming function keys with layered shortcuts to recording full macro sets and even adjusting the actual trigger point of every switch.
Sound Performance I don’t know how to describe the sound of typing on the Kick75 other than to say perfection… like whatever this is, it’s what I want
Overall Performance
The authentic retro print on the back, which shows some kind of jump-and-run scene, is the cherry on top—making it a stunning piece that feels premium in every corner. For just $89, you get the low-profile version, and I think Kick75’s one of the most beautiful retro-styled keyboards on the market right now.

Switch Performance

The Kick75 comes with the newest third version of Gateron low profile switches, pre-lubricated and made with full POM... My unit came with 50g tactile Browns which sounds marbly to my ears given the fully dampened case of the Kick75.
Typing Comfort The low profile keycaps used here is the very low profile keycaps... It has ergonomic touches to it like a slight bend inward matched with more circular edges. This was made with double shot PBT, so that's neat... Stabilizers are pretty decently tight and well lubricated, with very minimal to almost zero rattling on the stabs, and that was expected from NuPhy quality keyboards.
Design and Appearance
This has a retro gaming-inspired 8-bit themed design featuring green, yellow, blue, gray, and white colors... The keyboard has low contrast to its keycap colorways and a small branding on the left side... Green strips accent the corners, and the red silicone cover runs along the top side as screw covers... The knob with a retro gamer design was a good touch for the overall aesthetic goal.
Connectivity & Customization Features
This is a gasket-mounted TR mode keyboard with Bluetooth, wired, and 2.4G connection options... Features NKRO and 1,000 Hz polling rate maximum via wired or Wi-Fi depending on the unit you choose.
Sound Performance
My unit came with 50g tactile Browns which sounds marbly to my ears given the fully dampened case of the Kick75.
Overall Performance
Overall, I think this design with the Kick75 opens up a new possibility for future keyboards catering to both beginners exploring layouts, switches, and keycaps, and even enthusiasts seeking something fresh to experiment with and add to their collection... I had fun modifying this keyboard, and I believe you will too.

Switch Performance

The one I'm testing out today has got the Red Nano linear switches installed, which are their flagship switch with POM build and, as we'll see, they are pretty tasty to use.
Typing Comfort
I also went for the wrist pad, which is super squishy and comfy. I actually think it might be NuPhy's first soft touch wrist pad because all the others I've ever bought from them have been either acrylic or wooden.
The keycaps that come installed are double shot PBT... They're very stable and well made.
Design and Appearance
It's giving me vibes of '90s era transparent Game Boys, Nintendo 64 controllers... It's screaming fun and nostalgia.
Connectivity & Customization Features
When you're in wireless mode, you can also connect up to four devices to this keyboard.
Sound Performance
Hopefully my mics were picking this up accurately, but to me, this thing sounds so thick and creamy—I kind of think they should have called it the Milkshake 75.
The sound profile isn't quite as rattly as the A75 or as clacky as the Halo 75. It's just really full and well-balanced.
They’ve added a gasket structure here to help reduce any hollow sounds and also this acts a bit like a shock absorber to give you a very satisfying spring back when you are typing.
Overall Performance
This is a highly customizable keyboard that is packed full of features, foam, and customization options.
If you'd asked me what the best sounding keyboard was, I'd probably have picked something from the Lofree catalog—well, not anymore.
For $89, they definitely heard the feedback on the pricing front, kids. It's a genuinely brilliantly aggressively priced bit of kit considering what you're getting here.

Switch Performance

When you go to the website and they say that these are the best low profile switches to date, I would actually have to agree with them on that one... Usually, low profile switches are scratchy, pingy, don't sound the greatest or feel the greatest either, but these are honestly very good right out of the box.
Typing Comfort
This thing is packed to the brim with foam though—it does have plate foam, case foam, and PE foam... They are using a polycarbonate plate with screw-in stabilizers, so that is something I was very happy to see.
The lube job on these stabilizers is pretty good, but there was some sticking on my backspace and enter key and the shift key. My space bar was actually quite solid, which usually is the hardest one to get right.
Design and Appearance
They’re going for a retro 8-bit design, and you can see that with the color accents they’re choosing and just the overall clear top housing—sort of like those see-through Game Boys that we all grew up with.
For the weight, they decided to do a little bit of an 8-bit design on it... It is, of course, very reminiscent of a Mario or a platform game, and I think just looks overall very clean and fits the aesthetic very well.
Connectivity & Customization Features
This keyboard does have 1,000 Hz polling rate and does have QMK and VIA support as well, also with their NuPhyIO
.
No matter if you're using this as a wireless keyboard or a wired keyboard, you will still have the same latency whether you're using it for gaming or for work.
Sound Performance
When it comes to the sound department, I personally think it actually sounds pretty good for a low-profile keyboard.
Now that PE foam definitely changes the sound signature, but in terms of the scratchiness or any ticking, these switches are actually very good.
Overall Performance
Most of the components of the Kick75 are actually open source with official 3D printing files provided free of charge, so you can make your own styled accessories or experiment with different unique keycaps and designs and really make this keyboard your own.

Switch Performance

The low-profile switches are a result of NuPhy and Gateron's collaboration to develop the nano line of low-profile switches... Most notably, these switches are compatible with the traditional five-pin socket structure and they also have an impressive total travel distance of 3.5 mm.
Typing Comfort
The stabilizers are lubed well and perform as you would expect any other stabilizer to... They function like plate-mounted stabilizers that can also clip into the PCB using these cutouts, allowing the same set of stabilizers to be utilized when changing between low and high profile configurations.
The faux leather wrist rest is surprisingly plush and comfortable. Using the magnetic tray underneath, it also has two height options to accommodate the Kick75 in both low and standard height configurations.
Design and Appearance
If you follow the design journey of the Kick75, it's actually an idea that the NuPhy design team has chipped away at since 2022... At that time, the team took inspiration from the iconic Nike Air Force 1 sneaker, which you can see reflected in the silhouette of the bottom case.
Connectivity & Customization Features
The keyboard boasts a 1,000 Hz polling rate when connected through the wireless receiver, and the battery should last you almost 300 hours without backlighting or 60 hours with backlighting.
You can connect the keyboard using wireless Bluetooth or wired connections... The knob controls volume by default but can be further customized through either NuPhy IO or VIA depending on the version you opt for.
Overall Performance
NuPhy took a bold step with the Kick75, merging two switch profiles into a single keyboard. It’s a unique concept—one that offers even more options than what we’re already used to seeing in mechanical keyboards.
NuPhy has always been a design-forward company, and in my opinion, they've done an excellent job with Kick75 design. Departing from the Air and Halo designs, which mix metal and plastic materials, this keyboard is an all-plastic entry-level successor featuring an entirely new design language while maintaining exceptional typing feel and sound.

Switch Performance

This keyboard utilizes new Gateron low-profile 3.0 switches, which are the first of their kind to be compatible with a standard high-profile switch socket. This is what allows the board to accept either the normal switches or the low-profile ones.
Typing Comfort
The typing experience on the Kick75 is elite—it's one of the smoothest and most satisfying typing experiences that I've ever tested. The Kick75 uses Gateron low-profile 3.0 switches... The feel of the switch is very smooth with a really tiny tactile bump—it almost feels linear to be completely honest.
Design and Appearance
Across the back, you'll see a beautiful piece of artwork depicting old-school gaming in various forms. Around the front, you'll see a clear plastic top case, which brings me back to the days of the N64 and Game Boys in the '90s.
Connectivity & Customization Features
This keyboard has a 1,000 Hz polling rate, and whether you're using wired, Bluetooth, or 2.4 GHz, you'll get the same performance.
The QMK version includes a 4,000mAh battery, while the NuPhy IO version has a 2,500mAh battery. Despite the difference in battery size, battery life remains similar across both models.
Sound Performance
I don’t know how to describe the sound of typing on the Kick75 other than to say: perfection."
"They sound soft and delicate, they’re muted without being silent, the keys are great, the spacebar is consistent—even the knob has a nice feel to it.
The typing sound of these Nano Brown switches combined with all the sound dampening and whatever else they’ve got going on in here is incredible.
Overall Performance
This keyboard is crazy! Kick75 is truly a world's first, truly innovative, and somehow also one of the best value keyboards. It could even be considered an incredible entry-level option to get you into the hobby in the first place.

Switch Performance

The Kick75 is the world's first hybrid profile key switch, and is compatible with both normal and low profile key switches.
The key caps really are low profile key caps."
"The key switches look like this, and are truly low profile key switches.
Typing Comfort
The Kick75 has a firmer typing feel, so I think I prefer it.
The material is very soft and feels good to the touch.
It's amazing that it's the world's first hybrid profile, but I think attention to detail in the feel and sound of the keys is typical of Neef.
Design and Appearance
Kick75's design is inspired by retro games.
The grey and white are reminiscent of the Super Nintendo, and I think the green, yellow, blue, and red are reminiscent of the buttons on the Super Nintendo remote.
Sound Performance
Compared to the standard profile Halo75, I think the Kick75 has a slightly clearer sound.
The typing feel is also so solid that it's hard to believe it's a low-profile key switch and keycap."
"Completely different from the A75, the sound is typical of this standard profile and is very good.
Overall Performance
The retro design is fantastic, especially if you love classic gaming aesthetics.  Being the world’s first hybrid-profile keyboard, Kick75 offers exceptional customization.  Moreover, the typing experience is excellent, reflecting NuPhy’s dedication to quality.
