My wrist-rest coating started degrading after 60 days and support indicated the coating process is make it fragile but it’s a part of the design. Apparently a poor design choice then paired with poor service.

The electrophoresis finish is designed to be both attractive and protective, but it can wear over time with frequent use. Normally, it lasts several months to a few years, but heavy use or abrasive conditions can speed up wear.
To help extend the coating’s life, please clean it regularly with a soft cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasives. We are exploring ways to improve the durability of our products. If you notice significant wear sooner than expected or need further assistance, please contact our support team.

Mine came with unaligned metal edge piece, ugly wood coloring and a dent in the side. Really unexpected from a more expensive wrist rest, but I might have just been unlucky.

It looks and built very well. This might be my individual issue - when I keep my hands on it I feel the cold metal on my wrists, which after some time causes pain in my wrists. I solved it by placing a thick sticker that covers metal, but with the cost of appearance. If I knew I choose a plastic one without metal parts. Looking forward to a full wooden one.
