Cymatics
The Cymatics keycap set is an experiment on building relationships between the visual and acoustic aspects of the keys. The highlights of the design are the 5 Chaldi-pattern inspired key legends, and the waveform representations of letters, which borrows from Jessica Normile's 'Sound Wave Alphabet'. The waveforms, each corresponding to the sound of one letter, are placed under their legends. Individually recorded, they are further pixellated to match the letters' font. In terms of the overall color theme, a indigo+turquoise+white combination is chosen for its sci-fi vibe. For the color layout we decided on the inverse of the conventional 'white inside' layout. On the one hand, the overall visual impact is made stronger this way, on the other, it also highlights the most essential waveforms of this set of keycaps.
KeyTok PBT keycaps
