The NuType F1 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard features Kailh Choc low profile mechanical switches, ultra-thin keycaps that measure less than 2mm, and aluminum frame. The “T” shaped slats at its base are specially designed to perfectly match the original keyboards of MacBook and Surface, providing both great portability and superior typing experience.

Usually, the easiest way to identify your layout is by looking at the shape of your “Enter/Return” key. For instance, the ANSI layout can be identified from its rectangular “enter/return” key while the JIS layout does not have an “esc” key in the upper left corner.
We offer three types of Mechanical Switch for NuType F1 - White Switch, Red Switch, and Brown Switch. Generally speaking, White Switches are characterized by loud “clicks” and the strongest feedback; Red Switches are in-between; Brown Switches are the most quiet and provide the least amount of feedback.

All orders will be shipped by NuPhy. We will deliver the goods within 48 hours and upload the tracking numbers within 72 hours on weekdays. You can check Shipping Policy for more information.

SIMPLISTIC DESIGN,
EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE.

Order a cup of coffee, take out your MacBook, place the NuType on it, and your thoughts and creativity begin to flow. Man, I have to be honest, it looks a bit ordinary compared to its wild, futuristic counterparts. You might even mistake it for a membrane keyboard thanks to the ultra-thin keycaps and the latest low profile mechanical switches. But once your fingers start dancing across the keys, NuType will exceed your highest expectations. “Wow, this is incredible!” Only those who have used NuType can truly understand the experience.

ENJOY EACH STROKE.

To make NuType a perfect match for your laptop, we have engineered many unique designs. NuType is the same size as the built-in keyboards of most laptops on the market, making it universally compatible. The “T”-shaped slats at its base can lodge firmly in the space between the keycaps of the laptop, offering both stability and accidental touch protection. We use FN + Numeric keys to replace the function keys on the Touch bar. The hotkeys we provide are highly user-friendly, but you can still keep the option of using the Touch bar or Touch ID. NuType also comes with one 2m and one 0.13m cable. Using the short cable, you can recharge NuType while working on your laptop - without any disturbance.

 BUILT-IN KEYBOARD COMPATIBILITY

The most unique feature of NuType F1 is its remarkably stable structure, created by the connection between the “T” shaped slats at its base and the space between MacBook Keycaps. The following laptop models have been found compatible with the “T” shape design of NuType F1 after testing. Due to limited resource, we are not able to test all available models. Please refer to the dimensions of the base of NuType F1 to determine compatibility.

TO PROTECT AND SUPPORT.

The SmartCase can turn into a stand when it is unbuttoned and folded, holding both your tablet and phone. Since NuType can connect with up to three Bluetooth devices, you can switch between typing on a tablet and phone effortlessly. We also embedded a magnet at the bottom of the SmartCase so that it will attach securely to the metal nameplate on the back of the keyboard. This design not only ensures easy alignment, but also prevents the keyboard from falling out of the SmartCase.

NUTYPE FEATURED IN

"We swear our productivity has improved because of the tactile and aural feedback, and the keyboard’s ability to pair with up to three different devices via Bluetooth, makes this a solid gift choice for someone whose workflow jumps from device to device."

底面のスタンドは、MacBookなどの標準的な英字配列のキーボードの隙間に収まるように設計されており、キーボードの上に載せても下のキーが押されないようになっているんです。ナイスアイデア。

I love this board

This board is my go to "on the go board" for traveling and remote working or just when I want to feel the awesomeness of the low profile browns.

It's compact, battery life is amazing, and fun to type on! Since I don't use it with a Mac laptop I cut the bottom grooves off with an exacto knife since it was too wobly while typing on a flat surface.

Full keyboard I dont ❤️ So I had to add to cart

I got this keyboard because I am used to a laptop keyboard. I like the sound it makes when u strike each key. It has a multicolor illuminated background which my kids love. The box it came in is gift ready- and also came with cords. I like the carrying case as well so I can use it on the go. Comes with anime stickers!

Very good mechanical keyboard

This may be the best mechanical keyboard you can get for your MacBook Pro. This was specifically designed for us MBP users. The keyboard is bluetooth and can connect up to 3 devices, so its perfect for someone like me who uses it for MBP, iPad and iPhone. The included case doubles as a stand for the ipad and iphone, and its pretty sturdy.

Back to the keyboard...it is built with high quality materials. There are 3 color options, but more importantly, 3 switch color options. The white switches give the most feedback and give out the most clickity clackity sound, whereas the brown switches give out the least. Red is in the middle, which is what I went with. It's perfect for my tastes, as I wasn't fond of either extreme. There is good travel on the keyboard, which was one of the biggest problems with the built-in keyboard of the MacBook.

The best part of the keyboard, and what ultimately pushed me to buy this, is the wide range of RGB lighting options. Each key has its own RGB and because of that, there are so many colors and themes available. There are built-in hot keys to switch between paired devices and for controlling brightness, speed, color, theme, etc.

This was a great purchase. The keyboard sites right on top of my MacBook pro perfectly without blocking access to the touch bar. I can use it as a standalone bluetooth keyboard, and the mechanical/RGB features were what really set this apart. Its a worthwhile investment for anyone looking for an improved mechanical…

Great but needs improvements

It makes Macbook Pro a more fun-to-use laptop for sure. The keys are almost matching the original keys of Macbook. The colors are fantastic. But there’re 3 things that need improvements:

1. Right shift key is impossible to reach with your pinky finger, unless you are Shaquille O'neal with giant hands. You have to lift your hand and carry to the right and press the shift, carry back to the original position and continue typing like that. This is impossible and a big error according to me. The up arrow is taking the place of the shift. My resolution to that was using Autohotkey and program the “up arrow” as the “right shift” key. And then physically changing the keycaps as well. This works for me, but I still would have prefered a much bigger shift key as I still make typing errors that I usually don’t make.

2. No home/end/pageup/pagedown keys. These keys, especially “home” and “end” are crucial to my regular usage with thr ctrl combination. I am a software engineer and I write a lot of code and use these keys extensively. Fn+arrows do not work on bootcamp+windows. So this is not an option to me. Again, I solve this with a script in Autohotkey and programmed Alt+arrows as these 4 keys. Problem solved.

3. No “delete” key. Backspace is there but not always enough and delete key has its importance as you all know. This keyboard do not give that option as well. Solution: Autohotkey script to program alt+backspace as delete.

Access to F keys are pretty hard. But fn+numbers…
